I feel the need, the need for SPEED! Maverick Jon is ONE and we celebrated Top Gun style. We visited MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, FL and by appointment was able to grab his first birthday photos in front of some AWESOME jets that are still in commission from 1950's.

CAN YOU BELIEVE MY BABY IS ALREADY 1!

I designed the balloon decor myself! Super simple and easy to do! I linked all the sources at the end of the blog & shared a tutorial on my Instagram stories!

DIY BALLOON GARLAND:
Grab the balloon strip, blow up your balloons + fit the neck of the balloons into the space provided on the strip (small holes) and hang your filled balloon strip with either clear tacs or command hooks to the wall!

3...2...1.... Take off!
This jet balloon was another simple DIY using the balloon strip and jet mylar balloon combo!

This kid was the most legit cake smasher I have ever witnessed in my LIFE! The cake stood no chance!
We had to immediately bath him and get the frosting out of his nose :)

We had "Jet Fuel" aka Sangria available for the adults because - self explanatory: it's a one year old's birthday!

& How AMAZING did these goody bags turn out?
I went to Dollar Tree and bought 5 sets of the bags and my friend Danielle used her Silhouette machine and extra awesome creativity skills to design the 3D prints. She also designed his shirt and the bunting banner!

I filled the goody bag with all jet plane related gifts!

ONE happy boy...

Thanks for hanging!
With grace & gratitude,
Caitlyn
