I figured I’d make a post on the blog to answer the most frequent question I get asked about my home decor, my curtains!
This is a super simple way to add some simple neutral farmhouse style to your home!

They require NO SEWNIG! They’re textured, they’re neutral (what else is new!), they fit any window size & the best part - they’re seriously so inexpensive!
OH! & You can order everything from Amazon Prime and not even leave your house. I got mine from The Home Depot and Lowe's when I didn’t have my precious cherubs to lug around.

NO SEW - Using the ring clips for your curtains means you just have to fold over the seam length you want and hang them! So easy peasy lemon squeezy.
TEXTURE - I found that that there are different types of drop cloths. Some of them are more dense or stiff than others and honestly, those aren't my favorite. Although, I do have both in my home. (Too lazy to return? Yep.) There are also some drop cloths with a center seam. I ran into this bump in the road with some of my drop cloth curtains but it wasn't a problem when I hung the curtain up because I just tucked the seam back when I clipped them. You can't even see it.
STYLE - There's a couple ways to style the drop cloth curtains, I styled them a few different ways throughout the house! In my nook I left about 10 inches hanging over the top because I liked the extra flair it gave them. In the playroom I kept it simple and just folded over the seam and clipped them. Keep in mind the style you want to achieve when you are purchasing your drop cloths, because you'll need to include that in the length!

SIZE - Speaking of length, you’re going to want to measure your window height. Keep in mind where your curtain rods are located, and determine the size drop cloth you need off of that. For instance, for my single window, I purchased one 9 x 6 drop cloth. For my large dining room windows and bedroom window I purchased a 9 x 12 drop cloth for each.
DIRECTIONS - Each drop cloth makes two panels. Take the drop cloth in the size you chose, lay it out on the ground and double check your measurements. Cut the drop cloth in half the long way. (IE: If you purchase a 9x12 drop cloth, you'll cut the 12ft in half to make two 9x6 curtains), hang them by the ring clips, and wah-lah!

I can’t wait to see your DIY curtains! As always, send any questions my way!
