#BOSSBABE tips

ree

I want to be the best version of me for my family and for myself. We all know it's easy to let the stress and anxiety of everyday life (especially with children) get the best of you. I get overwhelmed with stress, even if it's happy stress like holidays or being a good mom to two screaming hibanchis. I'm thirty now and I feel like I have learned a lot of ways to get things done and remain calm, cool & collected.... sometimes! At the very least, these things help me feel good and bring the best out of me.

1.Wake up & make up

After making breakfast and changing diapers, make time to get yourself ready. Even if you don't have plans, get yourself together, girl! You don't need a full face, just a little to make you feel so much more like you've got your -ish together. Especially being a SAHM, it's so easy to get into a makeup free, topknot, sweatpants rut. Take it from me. When I get up and get ready I know I can get the kids in the car and take off anytime I need to and sometimes you just need to get OUT of the house and not feel slumpy.

2.Clean house, clean head.

This is legit, yo. For real, if my house is a disaster, my mind is a scrambled & useless mess. Have you ever been driving and need to turn the radio noise off to think? YASSS. In this case, the clutter is the radio noise. When my house is clean I feel like I can breathe and think! It doesn't have to be spring cleaned, but tidy and organized. I have a system, and I feel like that seriously helps. Create a system that works for you!

3. Make Lists

I'm a list person. If it's not jotted down on my phone notes or my fridge notes, the likelihood it gets accomplished is rare. We have a running market list on the side of our fridge and we share the Shipt app login. This way nothing get's missed and we get what each of us need. Writing things down free's up space in your mind. Plus, checking things off lists is so gratifying isn't it? Hint: Start your list with "coffee"... Check! You've already accomplished one thing!

4. DELEGATE

Speaking of Shipt...Take advantage of every service available to you. If you're at the grocery store and the bagger offers to take your groceries to the car and help you unload them, say YES. Better yet, sign up for a grocery delivery service. Bet your bottom dollar you don't regret it. If your mother in law offers to take the kids so you can sleep, YES. SLEEP. Don't feel guilty, they wouldn't offer if it really was putting them out.

What are your favorite ways to feel like you've got your life together? I'd love to learn and add them to my routine!

With grace & gratitude,

Caitlyn
